The deceased Tamil Selvan (27), a techie from Royapuram, was on the way to his office in Guindy when the accident took place. Around 10.45 pm, when he reached near Kamarajar Salai, an MTC bus (Route number 109) hit the bike head-on. Tamil Selvan suffered head injuries and was rushed to the Royapettah GH, but he was declared brought dead. Anna Square traffic investigation police have registered a case and arrested MTC driver Purusothuman (34) of Cheyyur. Police said that the bus came in the wrong direction and since Tamil Selvan did not wear helmet, it proved fatal for him.
