Southern Railway to run special train to clear Pongal rush

Southern Railway will run a special train between Puducherry and Coimbatore to clear the extra rush

A Southern Railway release said today, the special train will leave Puducherry at 1230 hours on January 16 and would reach Coimbatore junction at 2100 hours on the same day. 

The train will stop at Villippuram, Vridhachalam. Chinna Salem, Attur, Salem Town, Salem Junction, Sankaridurg, Erode, Uttululi, Tiruppur and Coimbatore North, the release added. This special train service is being initiated in view of the festival rush as several people are planning to travel during the long weekend for Pongal.
