Rowdy hacked to death in Perambur; probe on

CHENNAI: Police have launched a hunt for suspects who hacked a 39-year-old history sheeter to death in Perambur on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as ‘Bazaar’ Karthik, a resident of Sharma Nagar in Vyasarpadi.

Police sources said that Karthik has several cases against him. On Wednesday Karthik, his friend Madhan and four others were hanging out at a cemetery in TV Puram near Perambur, police investigations revealed.

Around 7 30 pm, police control room had received an alert about a man’s body lying in a pool of blood inside the cemetery after which a team rushed there.

Police team found the mortal remains of Karthik and moved it to a nearby hospital for autopsy.

Police suspect his friends to have murdered Karthik after an argument. Further investigations are on.
