Reviving the art of letter writing

In the age of the Internet, the art of writing letters has almost disappeared. Nevertheless, there are several letters written by the history’s greatest figures that are still celebrated

In an effort to revive the lost art of letter-writing, Department of Posts is organising an ‘Exhibition of Letters’ at the Philatelic Bureau, Anna Road head post office. “We are inviting people to share interesting letters that they have been treasuring. 

These letters will be on display at the exhibition for a month at the Philatelic Bureau.” said an official from the department. Participants will have to attach a brief description of the letter along with the original or photocopy. 

They can also bring the letters to the Philatelic Bureau, Anna Road HPO, Anna Salai. The participants can take back the letters once the exhibition is over.
