Recent reports suggest that the number of people with diabetes in the country has doubled in the past few years and the number of diabetics in the country is expected to increase to 101.2 million in the next 15 years. Studies have also shown that sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy dietary habits have contributed to cardiovascular disease — one of the top killers in India. Through this activity, Apollo Hospitals hopes to raise awareness on regular physical activity, preventive measures like early and proactive screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which will play a vital role in reducing the number of lifestyle related disorders in India.

Registration is free and participants can engage in this day-long fitness session and also avail of complimentary health screening. On arrival, participants will undergo a complimentary basic check like measuring height, weight, BP and blood glucose test before cycling. The event will be held at New Apollo Health Check building (Next to Apollo Main Hospital) at Greams Road from 10 am to 4 pm.
