CHENNAI: Immigration officials detained a 30-year- old man who has been escaping from the radar of the Haryana police. He was detained at the Chennai airport when he returned from Malaysia on Friday.

Officials on Friday were checking passengers who arrived from Malaysia.

When they were scanning the documents of Manpreet Singh of Haryana, they found that he was wanted by the Haryana police, who had issued a LOC (Look Out Circular) six months ago.

Soon, officials detained Manpreet in the immigration room and informed the Haryana police. A special team from Haryana is expected to arrive soon in Chennai to arrest him.
