Offices of Kanchi DSP, Chengalpattu municipality shifted

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) office in Kancheepuram and the Chengalpattu Municipal Office will operate from different buildings in the coming days as a few staff and cops were tested positive for coronavirus.

Sources said two policemen, who were working in the DSP office, tested positive for the virus and them since a few policemen requested that the office be shifted to a different place, a decision was taken to shift the DSP office to the Siva Kanchi police station. The DSP office was sanitised and put under lock and seal for the time being. The 10 policemen who were in contact with the two infected cops have been asked to be in quarantine.

The Chengalpattu Municipal Office was shifted to a building near the Chengalpattu old bus stop as the Municipal Commissioner and staff were tested positive for coronavirus last week. On Thursday, a woman staff, a driver and six cleanliness workers tested positive in the office.
