Vehicles coming from Cenatoph Road would be allowed to take right on Anna Salai to reach Teynampet for three days on a trial basis from Friday to Sunday. Based on the feedback from public, police officials would decide whether it should be made permanent. While traffic police allowed vehicles from Chamiers road to cross the Anna Salai directly, the latest change is expected to bring the much needed respite for motorists.
