Medical rep run over near Red Hills

A 24-year-old man was fatally knocked down by a speeding truck near Red Hills on Friday. The deceased, Kotagiri Venkata Kirankumar, was working as a medical representative, said the police.

The accident happened on Friday evening when he was on his way to Red Hills from Kolathur. When he was riding on Vadaperumbakkam-Red Hills Road, a speeding truck rammed his two-wheeler from behind and threw him off the vehicle. Suffering severe head injuries, he died on the spot. Madhavaram traffic investigation police registered a case and sent his body to post-mortem examination. The truck driver, was detained for inquiry.
