He was hired along with a team of workers to demolish the building to renovate a house that belonged to one Srinivasan.

“A wall collapsed unexpectedly where the victim was standing and Ravi got trapped under the debris and suffered serious injuries on Thursday evening,” a police officer said.

The other workers immediately rescued him out of the debris and Ravi rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. The body was later moved to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital.

A case has been registered by the Nazratpet police and further investigations are on. The police have been conducting an enquiry with Srinivasan, owner of the house.
