A petition filed by lawyer Ram Kumar Adityan came up for hearing before the Divisional Bench comprising Chief Justice S Kaul and Nooty Ramamohana Rao. In the petition, it was pleaded that the lawyers had a dress code of black and white but most lawyers, especially woman lawyers, were seen coming in colour dress to the courts. The bench observed that the issue of lawyers not wearing uniforms inside the court would be taken care by the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Bar Council and regarding the issue of disgrace to the uniform the bench observed that the lawyers were matured enough and they would not misuse their dress during the protests.
