Kannagi Nagar murder: One more surrenders

One more accused in the Kannagi Nagar murder case has surrendered before the Egmore magistrate court on Tuesday.

Police said Santhosh Kumar, who was wanted for the murder of Vinod Kumar and Sakthi Vel had surrendered before the court and had been remanded to judicial custody. The police had already arrested eight persons in the murder case. 

Kannagi Nagar had witnessed a bloody battle between two ganja peddling groups on Deepavali. The two gangs attacked each other with deadly weapons. Vinod Kumar was killed on the spot and Sakthivel, who suffered serious injuries in the attack died at the hospital. One of Vinod Kumar’s rival gang members, Sebastian Miller had also died in the conflict.
