Juveniles among 4 held with machetes

The R K Nagar police have arrested four persons, including two juveniles, in possession of weapons.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house at Nethaji Nagar in Tondiarpet on Wednesday and secured three persons in possession of weapons.


Investigation revealed that two of them were juveniles and that they had been hiding there to attack another man in the locality over previous enmity. Based on their inputs, another 19-year-old youth was also secured and four machetes were seized from the gang. While two of the accused, V Santhoshkumar (19) of Old Washermanpet and B Sanjay (19) of Tondiarpet, were remanded in judicial custody, the juveniles were sent to an observation home.
