In her message, J Jayalalithaa said, “Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified on Friday. On this great day, I extend my warm greetings to the Christian community in the State.” “Let us put aside our differences, and pray for a happy year with peace and harmony,” she added. 

DMK leader M Karunanidhi in his message, listed out various welfare measures launched by the erstwhile DMK governments for the Christian community and said the party always maintained good and cordial relations with the Christians. 

PMK Founder Dr S Ramadoss, MDMK leader Vaiko, TMC Leader GK Vasan and leaders of other parties also extended their greetings to the Christian community.
