Two persons who had several cases pending against them were detained by immigration officials on Saturday at Tiruchy airport.

Police said that Sasikumar (32) of K Pallampatti near Melur in Madurai district, who was involved in damaging public property in 2009, escaped to Singapore.

On Saturday, when he arrived at Tiruchy airport, he was detained and handed over to airport police station. Similarly, another accused G Rajesh (37) of Palapallam in Kanniyakumari, was also detained at the airport.
