A police team patrolling 6th Street, Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Adambakkam on Monday morning found a man selling small packets of ganja and arrested him. They also recovered 600 grams of the contraband from him. He was identified as ‘Savukuruvi’ alias Ramesh (34), a resident of Madha Koil Street, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Adambakkam. Police said Ramesh was a notified history-sheeter under Adambakkam police limits and was detained under the Goondas Act in 2014.
