The admission process for engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu started on Friday but since there were not fool-proof arrangements to download the applications, a lot of students got disappointed, Ramadoss pointed out in a statement. The Anna University has a single window system for engineering admissions across the state.

The University Grants Commission had directed application forms to be made available online. Students and others who attempted to download the form got disappointed as the website crashed on Friday morning itself.

The lack of infrastructure supported caused great misery to students and others, Ramadoss pointed out. He also said that the rural students would face difficulties in downloading the application form. There should be enough free kiosks.
