The notification regarding this was issued after elaborate discussion by Chief Justice AP Sahi with judges, presidents and secretaries of all the associations, dean of medical college, Collector, commissioner of police and corporation for the welfare of advocates and the public.

The Chief Justice had also met the Chief Secretary and Health Secretary ahead of the meeting.

The decisions taken include distribution of motion cases to all judges, allowing only 10 advocates inside courtrooms and maintaining of one-metre distance between people inside the court.

Also, in a bid to avoid unnecessary crowding, only advocates whose cases are listed will be allowed to enter the court halls. The other decisions include the closure of mediation centres for three weeks, restrictions in entering the court campus, ban on visitor passes and allowing only advocates whose cases are listed to chambers. The canteens and tea shops will be closed, while libraries pertaining to associations will be allowed to open for two hours daily.
