Police said two suspects have been detained and inquiries revealed that the gang was led by an advocate with an intention to rob the parlour since they did not have a valid licence.

The incident happened around 5 pm when five women and two male staff were present in the parlour on the 100-ft road. The five-member gang threatened staff at knifepoint and robbed them of valuables. Though the gang removed the DVR from the parlour, the footage recorded online went viral on Wednesday. Velachery police have registered a case.
