The Consul General of Thailand in Chennai, Nitirooge Phonepresart,  played the perfect host for the evening. The event saw several diplomats in the city in attendance. A few of the guests included Consul General of Russia Oleg N Avdeev, US Consul General Robert G Burgess, Consul General of Belgium Mark Van de Vreken, Prince of Arcot  Mohammed Asif Ali and textile doyen Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti.
