CHENNAI: Armed with the Madras High Court order that the party general council meeting was valid, AIADMK interim general secretary and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will be visiting party headquarters on Thursday.
This would be Palaniswami's first visit after the AIADMK headquarters in Royapettah was ransacked allegedly by the OPS faction on the day when the general council meeting was held.
Earlier, Palaniswami was about to visit the party office soon after the general council meeting. However, due to the violence at the party headquarters, the party's interim general secretary canceled his program.
After Palaniswami's faction had moved legally to take over the party office, the court also ordered the revenue official to hand over the keys to the former.
In a statement, Palaniswami said that he would go to the party office around 10 am to garland the statues of party founder MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa.
The AIADMK interim general secretary also appealed to the party legislators, MPs, wand other functionaries to participate in the programme.
