Public and officials who came to the collectorate after the puja holidays were shocked to see the voter identity cards lying in the open.

Sources said that the workers, who came for cleaning work to the collectorate in view of the Ayudha puja, might have dumped the cards in front of the BC department office.

However, the public were upset with the improper handling of such crucial records of the people at a time when several voters were struggling to get the EPIC. They also demanded immediate action on the issue by the district administration.
