Duo who robbed man at knifepoint nabbed by locals in Guduvanchery

Public caught a duo who robbed a mobile phone and cash from a north Indian at knifepoint at the Guduvanchery bus stop and handed them over to the police on Thursday night.

The victim, Shivaram Biswal (28) of Jharkhand, a construction worker, along with his friend Simon were waiting at Guduvanchery bus stop when two men on a bike snatched his mobile phone and Rs 2,500 in cash at knifepoint. However, some alert locals rushed and nabbed the robbers. They trashed both of them before handing them over to Guduvanchery police who identified them as Kalaivanan (27) and Parasuraman of Perumattunallur. Police said Kalaivanan has an attempt to murder and a few cases pending against him. The police arrested both of them and remanded them in judicial custody.
