Speaking to the reporters while campaigning for the party candidate KC Palanisamy, Stalin said, the announcement of scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 was a welcome move but the normal life of the people was out of gear for the past two days. In the name of preventing black money, the poor people were tested a lot and everyone had witnessed this across the state. He charged that the AIADMK candidate and the Ministers along with their aide, Anbunathan hoarded crores of money to be distributed during the polls and this prompted the Election Commission to put off the election then. “The voters are aware of it,” Stalin stressed.

Meanwhile, he charged that the Centre has been threatening the state government to implement their schemes by taking advantage of the Chief Minister’s hospitalisation. For instance, the NEET, UDAY scheme, GST and Food safety schemes were strongly opposed by the Chief Minister but presently they were being implemented here. “This shows, the Centre has been threatening the state to implement their schemes,” Stalin said.
