CM may stay in hospital little longer

While Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s health condition continues to improve, doctors at the Apollo Hospitals here have advised further stay at the hospital.

According to a release from the hospital, Jayalalithaa is responding adequately to the comprehensive treatment given to her. “A team of doctors are collectively monitoring her treatment. The treatment plan including appropriate antibiotics, respiratory support and other allied clinical measures are presently being continued to treat the infection,” the press communique stated. 

Senior AIADMK ministers and other party leaders continued to visit the hospital all through Monday. VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan and AIASMK chief Sarath Kumar also visited the CM and wished her a speedy recovery. 

Recently, the hospital management flew in Dr.Richard Beale, an international specialist in critical care from London, who is currently advising the team of doctors at the Apollo in administering appropriate antibiotics and other allied measures to treat the infection. She was admitted to th hospital here on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration. Tamil Nadu’s Governor (Acting) Vidyasagar Rao visited her on Saturday.
