The flight was cancelled following the pilot noticing a technical snag just minutes before the flight was about to take off from the runway. The Qatar Airlines flight to Doha was scheduled to depart from Chennai airport at around 4.30 pm.

The 274 passengers along with 9 cabin crew boarded the flight. When the flight began to move on the runway, the pilot noticed a technical snag and informed the Air Traffic Control. Soon the aircraft was pulled back to the bay. The engineers team tried to rectify the fault and as they were unable to sort the issue, the passengers were offloaded and made them to stay at various hotels in Chennai.

The flight is expected to depart to Doha on Friday morning.
