Chennai lorry strike put in the backburner

The Lorry strike has been deferred till the meeting with CM and Deputy CM.

In the wake of lorry ceasing under the suspicion of water pillaging, the Tamil Nadu Private Water Tanker Lorry owners organisation had called for strikes today, but was indefinitely postponed.

The lorries provide for Thiruvallur, Chennai and Kanchipuram. They supply for many IT parks and star hotels. Their strike could have caused big water crisis with the Chennai High Court ordering the Collector to act upon lorries 'stealing' water.

The organisation's leader said their strike will be decided upon the meeting with Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
