Chennai flood heroes to be honoured

To recognise and appreciate the efforts put in by Chennaiites during the catastrophic floods, Reserv.Place, a Chennai-based start-up that is also the largest online venue booking portal in India, will present the Pride Awards on March 13.

The awards will be given in a gala musical extravaganza called The Rendezvous, that will be attended by yesteryear Bollywood film stars Sharmila Tagore, Kabir Bedi and Helen, and the Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali.

The actors will speak about their time in the films, the music that ruled the charts, and chords that touched their soul at the event. The winners have been decided based on public voting and a panel of judges. The proceeds of the programme will go towards the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
