The civic body has been distributing Kabasura Kudineer, a Siddha medicine, to boost immunity and experimented with herbal tea in some zones where a huge number of cases were reported.

This decision has been made because Siddha drugs work well on the corona patients. Most importantly till now, no death has been reported even in treating patients with breathing complications.

Currently, the Siddha Medical Therapy Center at Jawahar College in Saligram and Ambekar College of Arts and Sciences in Vyasarpadi have adopted Siddha medicine to treat Covid-19.

As part of efforts to showcase the effectiveness of the traditional therapy, Minister for Municipal Administration SB Velumani has released a video regarding the treatment of corona patients using Siddha medicines.
