CCB search Senthil Balaji’s house

The officers of the Central Crime Branch on Thursday searched the residence of DMK district secretary Senthil Balaji. The search which did not conclude at the time of going to press was carried out by a five-member team led by Assistant Commissioner Ramachandramoorthy.

While the house was sealed on January 31 as it was found locked, the seal was removed for the search which began at 10 am. While the Madras High Court refused to intervene on the search notice issued by the CCB, Senthil Balaji’s advocates accompanied the police team and stayed throughout the raid. It may be noted that CCB started reinvestigating the job fraud case on January 31.
