Stating that the State government should order a CBI enquiry into the allegations of illegal transplants, State secretary Dr GR Ravindranath, said, “Transparency is an important aspect that must be followed in the case of organ transplantation.”

On other issues, he said, “The Rs 10 lakh fine imposed on students who discontinue from private medical colleges should be cancelled. The reduction in the post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students should be cancelled. Besides, all vacancies in the State government should be filled up.”

He stressed on the need for the Central government to revoke the draft labour code bill. Ravindranath added that the government should not press ahead with its plans of appointing non-IAS persons from the public for the post of joint secretaries.
