Bharath University holds 28th convocation

The Bharath University hosted its 28th Annual Convocation to award degrees and Medals to the graduates from 2015 batch on March 6 at Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital.

A total of 2066 candidates, including 4 diploma, 1631 UG, 411 PG and 20 Ph.D. were awarded with degrees. 

For the first time in the University Convocation, six Honoris Causa Doctor Degrees were conferred upon eminent personalities — Dr. A Sivathanu Pillai, Mickey Munsami, M.P. Sathiyavel Muruganar, Prof.V.Seshaih, Prof. Jayakar Thomas and Dr. S.Nambi. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Director General – Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Secretary – Department of Health Research (DHR) was the chief guest at the occasion.
