Airport to Saidapet viaduct ready

One more stage of the Chennai Metro rail project was completed by Ms URC contractors.

The elevated corridor viaduct between Saidapet Ramp and Airport has been completed, a release said. 

The viaduct has a length of 4.348 km including the 1.400 km cut and cover section. The viaduct starts from OTA to the Airport on Corridor 1 and includes two stations Meenambakkam and Airport station.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) on successful commissioning of Corridor I from Koyambedu to Alandur had completed a major portion when they lifted the last segment of the viaduct between OTA to Airport station on January 14.
