The body was found in a highly decomposed condition and the police were alerted by neighbours after foul smell emanated from the house. A senior police official claimed that the actress took the extreme decision due to failure in love and ruled out foul play. However, no suicide note was recovered from the house. Suguna lived with her friends in Aqua apartments in Seemanthamman Nagar. The actress has appeared in a few television serials and also worked as a compere for popular Tamil and Telugu channels. She had also acted in a couple of Tamil films.  The police have a registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating. Earlier this year, the industry was saddened by the death of small screen actor Sai Prashanth after he committed suicide allegedly due to personal reasons.
