Absconding job fraudster nabbed after a year

Nearly a year after he absconded, a man who cheated young graduates of several lakhs on the promise of getting them jobs abroad was arrested.

Imran Shah (25) of Melapalayam was running a job consultancy in the name of Bright Future of Immigration in Valasaravakkam and invited the youth to apply through online advertisements. 

Believing him, several graduates paid him money to secure a job in countries like Canada, UK and the US. 

However, he went into hiding last year after collecting money from them. As many as 18 of aspirants were cheated and they lodged a complaint at the Valasaravakkam police station. 

They registered a case and recently received an information that Imran Shah was hiding in Melapalayam. He was arrested on Friday and was remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.
