Aavin Zonal office guard found hacked to death

A 50-year-old man was hacked to death in Nandanam on Wednesday. Kumarasamy, who worked as a security guard for Aavin zonal office in Nandanam was found lying unconscious with cut injuries on his head in the wee hours of Wednesday.

His colleague who reached the office to change shift was shocked to see him and alerted police. He was rushed to Royapettah government hospital and then transferred to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

However, he died without responding to the treatment in the evening. Teynampet police registered a case of suspicious death and have launched a hunt for the murder suspects with the help of CCTV footage.
