The deceased, Suresh Babu of Railway Colony, was working as a security guard in the locality. He lived alone on the second floor of the building after his wife was separated from him. Around 9 am, Suresh fell from the terrace of the building and died on the spot with severe head injuries. On information, the Anna Nagar police retrieved his body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered and further investigation is on to find whether he jumped to end his life or it was an accident. The other residents reportedly told the police that Suresh Babu was seen consuming liquor on the terrace the previous night.
