The deceased, Mohandas of Athivakkam village near Sriperumbudur, was VAO of Seruvedal village near Kancheepuram. Police said on Tuesday evening, Mohandas was on his way to Kancheepuram tahsildar office when a lorry, which came from the opposite direction, rammed against his two-wheeler on Kancheepuram-Enathur road. Mohandas suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot. On information, the Kancheepuram taluk police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem.
