3 kill friend over money dispute, held

Police arrested three men on Saturday for stabbing their friend to death as he refused to part money to buy liquor on Friday night in Sriperumbudur.

The deceased was identified as Denny (35), a painter from Karpagavalli Nagar. Locals found his body near a community hall in Molachur on Saturday and informed police.

Investigation led Sunguvarchatram police team to Roopan, of Chembarambakkam, who confessed the murder. Based on his statement, police nabbed Venkatesh and Hari.
