2015 murder accused told to surrender by June 5

The 28-year old accused of the 2015 murder case was declared proclaimed offender by a court in Egmore on Saturday and he was given time till June 5 to surrender. Dinesh K was charged with killing his girlfriend, Aruna, in Secretariat Colony.

A team of revenue officials stuck a notice at his apartment in VJ Flats on Barakka Road in Nammalverpet. If Dinesh fails to surrender, the authorities will start process to attach his properties, a police officer said. 

On March 9, 2015, Dinesh allegedly killed Aruna following a fight. He had forced her to come to his apartment when his family was away, police said. 

He has been absconding since then and police couldn’t trace him.
