CHENNAI: The price of 22 carat gold jewellery in Chennai increased by Rs 144 to Rs 45,104 per sovereign and per gram of 22 carat jewellery rose by Rs 18 to Rs 5,638.

Similarly, the price of silver rose by Rs 1 to Rs 78.60 per gram in Chennai. Silver is sold at Rs 78,600 per kg.
