Axis Bank's CFO Jairam Sridharan steps down

In a regulatory filing, Axis Bank said that CFO Jairam Sridharan stepped down "to pursue other career opportunities" and further added that the bank has initiated the succession plan for the said post and a suitable candidate.

Axis Bank on Friday said that its Group Executive and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jairam Sridharan has resigned and would serve his three-month notice period.

In a regulatory filing, Axis Bank said that he stepped down "to pursue other career opportunities".

The bank also said that it has started the succession plan for the post.

"Under guidance from 'Nomination & Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee of Board', the bank has initiated the succession plan for the said post and a suitable candidate will be appointed in due course and we will keep you posted on the same," the filing said.

"The bank places on record its appreciation for the invaluable contribution provided by  Jairam Sridharan during his tenure as the 'Group Executive & Chief Financial Officer' of the bank and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours," it added.
