The engineering graduates from top universities go through a rigorous recruitment process and get selected as GETs of Ashok Leyland with a gender diversity of 30% and geographical diversity representing all the zones of India.
“It’s a one-year programme where the GETs go through the on boarding experience anchored by Management Development Centre, Hosur”, NV Balachandar, President – HR, Communication and CSR at Ashok Leyland said. On the selection process of GET, he said, “The process is very robust.
We first chose the colleges where the academic rigour is strong, with a mix of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and we choose students from diverse backgrounds. Also, the cut off marks of the students joining should be of a certain standard.”
“We work with the academicians there to teach,” he said, adding that “We chose an institute where they are willing to work with us in developing the students to be more industry ready.”
