Many viewers are comparing Zola’s dance to the famous water scene in the 1983 movie Flashdance and social media was quick to add the the Flashdance music, Maniac , to the video.

“Zola’s ‘dancing’ is really just a play behaviour (there was no breakdance music playing in the building, we promise),” the Dallas Zoo said in a news release. The zoo says the pool is part of an enrichment programme provides the primate with ‘mental and physical stimulation.’

This isn’t Zola’s first time in the spotlight. In 2011, Zola was filmed dancing in his cage at the Calgary Zoo, which went viral with four million views on YouTube.
