Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput, who was pregnant with her second child, has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai and gave birth to the baby boy on wednesday evening.

The actor was recently spotted with his wife for a dinner the previous day after which she was admitted to hospital, according to many online publications.

The star couple married in July 2015 and their daughter Misha was born in August 26 the following year.

Shahid Kapoor has been busy with the promotion of his upcoming film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' which is slated for release on September 21.
