Popular Simbu-Dhanush film producer SK Krishnakanth passed away at 52

SK Krishnakanth made his Tamil debut as a producer through Dhanush's blockbuster film 'Thiruda Thirudi'. He also bankrolled Simbu's hit film 'Manmadhan'.

Famous Kollywood producer SK Krishnakanth, 52, passed away on Wednesday in Chennai. He died of cardiac arrest. He has produced popular Tamil hit films like Thiruda Thirudi, King and Manmadhan. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Thiruda Thirudi's director Subramaniam Shiva took to his official Twitter handle to convey his condolence. His post read, "Producer of our #ThirudaThirudi  #SKKrishnakanth sir passed away. Condolences to his family members.. & Friend's.May his soul RIP." (sic) The director shared an old picture of him with the demised producer. 

SK Krishnakanth made his Tamil debut as a producer through Dhanush's super hit film 'Thiruda Thirudi'. The film was considered to be Dhanush's first major commercial success in Kollywood industry.
