Musical extravaganza at the Celnatic Experience

The Celnatic Experience, a project by two young artistes, Shruti Kumar and Sahana Kumar, who are students of Berklee College of Music, Valencia, was launched in the city recently. As part of the initiative that celebrates the legacy of Sri Muthuswamy Deekshithar and the British East India Company, an audio CD, coffee table book and a children’s book were released. The event was attended by noted members of the fraternity including Padma Shri SR Janakiraman, Padma Bhushan Vidwan TH Vinayakaram, and historian V Sriram, among others. Also present were British Deputy High Commissioner Bharat Joshi and his wife Bhakti Joshi. The launch was followed by a music concert by Shruti and Sahana with popular flautist Rasika Shekar.
