Guests at the event, which also included Mani Ratnam, Arya, Uma Riyaz, VJ Ramya, Bhagyaraj, Poornima, Shanthnu and Keerthi, shared fond memories of Buddy.

Noted veena player Rajhesh Vaidhya performed a special piece, followed by a dance drama by Suhasini Mani Ratnam that also had a patriotic touch.
