Going Viral: Dangal’s new poster gets a thumbs-up for propagating female empowerment

Aamir Khan’s film Dangal is trending on social media. The film’s second poster was revealed by the actor in Mumbai recently and it is a quite a statement for women’s empowerment.

The poster shows him as a middle-aged wrestler who is accompanied by his daughters. The tagline of the wrestling drama goes, ‘Mhari choriyan choro se kam he kai (Are my daughters any less than boys)?’. Aamir is accompanied by actors Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, who are playing his daughters in the film, as well as Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar, who will play the younger versions of the daughters. Dan gal has Aamir Khan playing the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat who trained his daughters Babita and Geeta Phogat. Earlier, the first poster of the film showed Aamir Khan’s face emerging from a hard rocky surface with fire of determinations in his eyes. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is scheduled to release on December 23, 2016.
