MOST MEMORABLE COOKING EXPERIENCE: When I was in the seventh grade, I made tomato rice for my father. He loved it and appreciated my effort. I think that’s how I developed a passion for cooking.

COOKING DISASTER: My brother and I tried to make carrot halwa. We kept the pan on the gas stove for more than an hour. You can imagine the rest — the pan got burnt and we were very upset about it.

FAVOURITE CUISINE: I prefer homemade food. In terms of cuisine, I love Italian the most.

FAVOURITE DISH: My mom cooks tasty ragi dosas and porridges. I also like quinoa dishes.

COMFORT FOOD: Idli and dosa.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Most people don’t realise how much food they throw away every day. So, plan your meals wisely to cut wastage. While shopping for veggies, only buy enough for the meals you’ve planned. Respect food and don’t waste it. More importantly, teach your children the value of food.

FAVOURITE FOOD DESTINATION: I really want to explore traditional European food.

RATE YOUR COOKING SKILL: 10/10. I’m a good cook.
